If I were a browns fan I'd be up in arms. It's seriously shitty that practically the entire browns team obviously doesn't care about their fans enough to actually put forth an effort to at least try to win a game. No offensive touchdowns in FIVE FULL GAMES? Come on. On the field it looks like cribbs is practically the only one who gives a shit. Frankly I'd think it disrespectful to the people who pay money to see these idiots (and pay their 6 and 7 figure salaries) that they can't be bothered. If I were the incoming coach I'd gut the team and start over, as the majority of it as it stands isn't worth a dried up dog turd. |
Think your missing the point with being up in arms... if you read this thread, it's obvious I am, but it has nothing to do with graph. I started this thread for Browns FANS, and when he trolls it like a dick when we lose, I'm going throw a steaming turd sandwich back in his face when his taint cheese-loving team loses as well. Pretty simple. I want to talk football, but no one else does - which is odd, considering this is a board based in Cleveland, OH. Football is in this city's blood. But for real, you guys are seriously doing damage to the accepted notion that Browns fans are some of the most knowledgable in football. I mean, the only guy who seems to give a shit from more than a casual/fairweather fan is Helis, and he's in Philly... I can't believe all the people from Cleveland let all the yahoos from
Shitstown talk so much crap without ever standing up and/or throwing it back...
But back to the Browns - yeah, ummmm...for the 1000th time, what you DON'T want to do as a coach is get rid of your talent. I mean, I can't believe the amount of repetition on this point hasn't been enough to get through. Let me ask you something...if you were Ken Whisenhunt when taking over the Cardinals, would you have gotten rid of Fitzgerald and Boldin just because the team had been 5.11 the past two seasons? Seriously, from a football standpoint, that's just ass. It's the coach's job to make sure the players are playing to their strengths and abilities. That's why he's there...that's what a coach does - he coaches. If the players could sort themselves out, they wouldn't need a head coach. Yeah, it would be great if we were still competing like say, Kansas City or San Francisco, but the our team doesn't play because our coach sucks ballz. They all say they want him back every year, and I can't believe some players are still saying that shit. He sucks, straight up. But make no mistake, you don't come in as a new guy and gut anything. You make your individual evaluations, then your group evaluations, then, based on what offensive and defensive philosophies you're trying to install, you make some, -SOME- changes. But there is absolutely no reason, logic or precedent for anyone to come in next year and say, "ok, the clueless, bone-headed fans think I should gut this team, so let's just cut all the talent and ensure a 3-year rebuilding process". That's fucking retarded, and I'll give you 2 concrete examples of why what you want is unnecessary: Miami and Atlanta.
If you have the proper people in the front office and a proper coaching staff who knows how to do their jobs, you can take a lethargic team with mediocre talent like Miami from 1 win to double-digit wins...imagine what you can do with talent like Joe Thomas, Steinbach, KW, Rogers, Corey Williams, D'Qwell, etc....we are loaded. All we have to do is address our needs, and have a coach that can get us to play to our potential in order to achieve Obi Wan Kenobi-type pwnage of the AFC North.
