it takes some serious balls to make fun when your team just took an L to THE BENGALS. Laughing

^no it doesn't. My team was done a lonnnnnggggg time ago. The team who's midfield logo isn't fit for a dog to shit upon just lost home field in embarrassing fashion on national tv. bit of a difference there, ol' chap.

If the Browns had a good record and were in a game of importance, then maybe it would be ballsy...

All fucking steeler fans can eat decomposing cat shit sandwiches. Fuck your team.

If I were a browns fan I'd be up in arms. It's seriously shitty that practically the entire browns team obviously doesn't care about their fans enough to actually put forth an effort to at least try to win a game. No offensive touchdowns in FIVE FULL GAMES? Come on. On the field it looks like cribbs is practically the only one who gives a shit. Frankly I'd think it disrespectful to the people who pay money to see these idiots (and pay their 6 and 7 figure salaries) that they can't be bothered. If I were the incoming coach I'd gut the team and start over, as the majority of it as it stands isn't worth a dried up dog turd.

Think your missing the point with being up in arms... if you read this thread, it's obvious I am, but it has nothing to do with graph. I started this thread for Browns FANS, and when he trolls it like a dick when we lose, I'm going throw a steaming turd sandwich back in his face when his taint cheese-loving team loses as well. Pretty simple. I want to talk football, but no one else does - which is odd, considering this is a board based in Cleveland, OH. Football is in this city's blood. But for real, you guys are seriously doing damage to the accepted notion that Browns fans are some of the most knowledgable in football. I mean, the only guy who seems to give a shit from more than a casual/fairweather fan is Helis, and he's in Philly... I can't believe all the people from Cleveland let all the yahoos from
Shitstown talk so much crap without ever standing up and/or throwing it back...

But back to the Browns - yeah, ummmm...for the 1000th time, what you DON'T want to do as a coach is get rid of your talent. I mean, I can't believe the amount of repetition on this point hasn't been enough to get through. Let me ask you something...if you were Ken Whisenhunt when taking over the Cardinals, would you have gotten rid of Fitzgerald and Boldin just because the team had been 5.11 the past two seasons? Seriously, from a football standpoint, that's just ass. It's the coach's job to make sure the players are playing to their strengths and abilities. That's why he's there...that's what a coach does - he coaches. If the players could sort themselves out, they wouldn't need a head coach. Yeah, it would be great if we were still competing like say, Kansas City or San Francisco, but the our team doesn't play because our coach sucks ballz. They all say they want him back every year, and I can't believe some players are still saying that shit. He sucks, straight up. But make no mistake, you don't come in as a new guy and gut anything. You make your individual evaluations, then your group evaluations, then, based on what offensive and defensive philosophies you're trying to install, you make some, -SOME- changes. But there is absolutely no reason, logic or precedent for anyone to come in next year and say, "ok, the clueless, bone-headed fans think I should gut this team, so let's just cut all the talent and ensure a 3-year rebuilding process". That's fucking retarded, and I'll give you 2 concrete examples of why what you want is unnecessary: Miami and Atlanta.

If you have the proper people in the front office and a proper coaching staff who knows how to do their jobs, you can take a lethargic team with mediocre talent like Miami from 1 win to double-digit wins...imagine what you can do with talent like Joe Thomas, Steinbach, KW, Rogers, Corey Williams, D'Qwell, etc....we are loaded. All we have to do is address our needs, and have a coach that can get us to play to our potential in order to achieve Obi Wan Kenobi-type pwnage of the AFC North.

With the giant shit the Eagles offense laid yesterday, my football season is officially at an end. They are technically still alive, but it the scenario is absurd. That Eagles vs Dallas "play in" game in Philly could have been glooooorious.

I went back and re-read the entire thread for a retrospective on the season. Many hearty lulz from Graph's trolling and CSL's unrelenting hate of the Steelers. As someone who came up in Philly where a kid's first words are "Dallas Sucks" even I was taken aback by the blind rage of CSL's posts regarding Pittsburgh.

Now, who to cheer on toward the Super Bowl? I liked the Steelers against Seattle because of The Bus and Coach Cowher. But there isn't really anyone I identify with on that team now.

So maybe the Titans (Fisher has roots in Philly) or the Ravens since Harbaugh was a long time Eagles assistant and all-round good guy, even though I despise Ray Ray. Hrm.

Is it too soon to start a draft thread? Laughing

Cheers! Very Happy

you answered your own question!

never!

If we get a RB like Brandon Jacobs in free agency, I'd like Spock Jenkins (OSU) or Vontae Davis (Ill) at cornerback.

If we get Asomugha in f.a., either Beanie Wells or another RB, although we need help at LB as well...

who do you think the Eagles will take? What if McNabb leaves...you've got Kolb, Westbrook, Jackson on offense, but Dawkins is getting up there in age and is a free agent...

I'm not sure what, if anything, the Eagles may do in the playoffs but the utter curb-stomping of the Cowboys was beautiful to watch. The sight of Romo laying face down in the turf of the Linc like a dead man filled me with joy.

I was in the Philly airport during the game, coming back from visiting family. The place was going bananas. Even pilots were standing around the TV whooping it up with everyone.

The .gif that keeps on giving:

DE Chris Clemens stiff arming Choice to the ground. Lawl:

How bout them Cowboys?

For the record, I have the Birds over the Vikes next week. After that, who knows.

How about maybe bringing in Tuna to help turn things around with the Browns? Looks like he's going to walk in Miami.

brilliant work...glad your boys got in - they deserved it while teams like Tampa were going down the shitter in December. They look hot...as long as they can hold AP to a moderate number, like 120yds and 1 or 2 tds, I think they have too much on D for Tavaris Jackson to deal with and on offense, well, you know...#36 gwan run tings.

Heard that...I can only hope Lerner lets the process work by interviewing more than the one guy he's so high on, Pioli. I wouldn't mind taking your chief executive or Rich MacKay from Atlanta. I'm sick of New England people...and if he hires that dude, he's going to in turn hire Josh McDaniels, since that's his boy. That will piss me off...we need new, experienced people from different sources. I'm still holding out for Spags...

I have Philly and Atlanta in the NFC and am crossing my fingers for Miami and the San Diego Superchargers in the AFC this week.

The 71 yard screen and the way Brian Dawkins plays are so what NFL football is about. I'll ask again nicely...will you please put something in our owner's drink so he'll hire someone other than an ex-Patriot's assistant for a coach and a Ravens Pro Personnel guy for GM? What the fuck. It's not rocket science, dick:

RICH MACKAY FOR GM
STEVE SPAGNUOLO FOR COACH.

If I owned the Browns, they'd have been in the playoffs 6 of the last 10 years, with an AFC championship game at the very least to their credit. what the flying fuck.

that's not even what burns me...it's that dude hired a coach BEFORE a GM. Nice fucking football smarts you got there, Lerner. You let the coach pick your gm. nice life. No wonder why Heckert just said thanks but no thanks...

Fucking garbage.

2-for-2 so far....todays game was beautiful...none of the peeps here in NY were really having it, but I was cheering for the Eagles the whole time. Amazing how a real defense that pressures and tackles can lift your team to victory. Even McNabb made sure to shout out Jim Johnson on the field right after they won. Dude knows what's up.

Looking forward to::

Baltimore v. Philadelphia. LET'S GO EAGLES!

Dawkins recently said this is the best defense he's played on in his 13 years with the team. Clearly it isn't on the same level as the old Buddy Ryan defenses in Philly, but it may be the best we've seen since those glory days.

I mean prior to the last drive of the half, the Eagles had like 30 yards of total offense and weren't getting blown out. Amazing.

And CSL... did you happen to hear the Merrill Reese's call on Westy's 70+ yard screen TD at the Vikings? One for the ages.
